We believe in everyone’s right to safe and accessible housing. Whether you are paying privately or through government-assisted benefits, ILS can provide you with secure and comfortable housing within a supportive community.

Our facilities

ILS runs a total of eight supported houses in Weston, conveniently located less than an hour’s drive from Bristol, Cardiff, Bath, and Newport. These comfortable and well-appointed houses accommodate up to five residents, each in a private bedroom with a shared or en-suite bathroom, and feature full kitchens and shared living spaces.

Our homes are all within easy access of public transport hubs for commuting to and from work, educational centres, shopping areas, and medical service providers. We’re also within walking distance of the beach and various other outdoor and green spaces, making it easy to spend time outdoors and get some exercise.

Is ILS like a rehab, halfway house, or dry house?

Although ILS shares characteristics with all three, we see ourselves as a provider of Supported Housing, which stands apart from rehab, halfway houses, and dry houses.

Rehab service providers help substance abuse patients through detox and withdrawal and provide primary care for substance abuse. ILS has the very specific requirement that all our residents have already gone through detox and withdrawal, helping our community and residents focus on shared recovery starting from the same place and without the pressure of sharing a home with someone in withdrawal. We do, however, collaborate with rehab service providers to provide ongoing support and therapy to maintain sobriety.

Like both dry houses and halfway houses, ILS provides substance-free accommodation; however, we also provide an extensive range of support programmes (some mandatory, some optional) aimed at helping our residents develop the skills and confidence needed to return to fully independent living. We also place a heavy emphasis on community building and social integration, ensuring that our residents eventually leave ILS with well-rounded practical, social, and personal skill sets, a positive and purpose-driven outlook on life, and the confidence to take life on without fear of regression and relapse.

This dedication to our residents long-term wellbeing and personal development is what sets us apart from dry- and halfway houses.

How much does ILS cost?

ILS works with local and national organisations to keep our services accessible and affordable. We accommodate privately paying clients as well as those receiving government benefits and other forms of financial assistance. At ILS, we go out of our way to assist those who have committed to sobriety, finding ways to accommodate people from all financial situations and backgrounds.

For more details about our pricing, please contact us directly using the details below.

To ensure the safety of all our residents, we may require references and/or evidence that proves you are no longer actively abusing drugs or alcohol and have gone through detox and withdrawal prior to admission. Following this, there is an interview with the ILS team to help place you in a supported home that best suits your needs, and finally, admission to your new temporary home.
